2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Tustin, CA

The Appealing SUV Just Gets Better

With its characteristic good looks, delightful road demeanor, and overall sense of style and performance, the Jeep Grand Cherokee returns for 2019 with a few fresh updates in terms of a new Limited X package offering and an expanded array of standard features.

Anaheim drivers have seven trim levels to choose from: Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT, and Trackhawk. All feature the iconic Grand Cherokee design, from the seven-slot grille to the swooping roofline that adds to the SUV's aerodynamic nature.

The interior hosts a considerately-designed cabin that offers ample space for passengers and any gear they might bring along. When sitting in the driver's seat, you have a commanding view of the road ahead -- but that higher seating position doesn't have an impact on headroom. In fact, there's plenty of space for adults to stretch out in all rows of seating.

Even the base Laredo trim comes nicely equipped for Santa Ana drivers, with such standard features as 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, heated mirrors, proximity key, keyless start, backup camera, rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth® streaming, two USB ports, and a 7-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity. As you move up in trim levels the amenities only improve, until you find yourself in the top-of-the-line Trackhawk model.

The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, but there are available upgrades if you need more power. A 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel V6 produces 240 horsepower and a healthy 420 pound-feet of torque, while 5.7-liter V8 powers out 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

The SRT model features a 6.4-liter V8 that manufactures 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, while the Trackhawk comes equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that generates 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque, making ridiculous work of a trip from Orange to Huntington Beach.
